Susan Muleme Kasumba is a seasoned professional in the Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and mapping industry, boasting over 25 years of experience. She currently serves as the Director of Business Development at Airborne Imaging Inc., a Barr GeoSpatial Company.
Susan's academic background includes studies at the University of Guelph and graduation from Sir Sandford Fleming College's GIS/Cartography program.
Throughout her career, Susan has demonstrated a deep passion for maps and a genuine interest in assisting clients to maximize the utility of their LiDAR data. Her transition from technical mapmaking to sales was driven by her love for maps and her desire to help people, making her a natural fit for business development roles.
In addition to her professional role, Susan has been actively involved with BeSpatial Ontario, a leading organization for geospatial and information professionals in Ontario. She has served as the Immediate Past President and has been instrumental in organizing workshops and presentations to educate the community about LiDAR technology.
Susan is also recognized for her commitment to mentoring young professionals and her belief in the power of collaboration and community-building within the GIS industry.
